Due to personal reasons, Mustafizur Rahman did not travel to the West Indies. The Tiger pacer missed the ODI and T20I series to stay by his expectant wife’s side. However, he resumed training in Mirpur afterward.
Now, he is set to play in the National Cricket League (NCL) T20 tournament in Sylhet.
The Satkhira-born pacer will represent his division, Khulna, in the tournament's playofs. Before Mustafiz’s return, Khulna concluded the group stage of this year’s NCL with 8 points, securing third place on the table after winning four out of seven matches.
Khulna will face Chattogram in the Eliminator on Saturday.
His last T20 match was in October this year against India in Hyderabad.
Overall, in recognized T20 matches, Mustafizur has taken 337 wickets in 268 games.
