Mohammedan Sporting Club Ltd and Rahamatganj Muslim Friends Society grabbed big wins in their respective Group B matches of the ongoing Bashundhara Group Federation Cup 2024-25 on Tuesday.

Mohammedan SC beat Chittagong Abahoni Ltd by 6-0 goals at the Bashundhara Kings Arena here while Rahamatganj MFS beat Fakirerpool Young Men's Club by the same 6-0 goals at the Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.

At the Kings Arena, Uzbek midfielder Muzaffarov Muzaffarjon opened account in the Malian forward Souleymane Diabate took the lead for the traditional black and white scoring an each within the 15 minutes of the first half (11th and 14th minutes).

After the half time, midfielders Arif Hossain, Razu Ahmed Zisan, forward Sourav Dewan and midfielder Jwel Mia netted one each in the 52nd, 69th, 77th, and 80th minutes respectively.

In Mymensingh, forward Nabib Newaz Ziban made a hat-trick scoring three goals in the 45+2nd, 56th, and 75th minutes while forward Meraj Hossain Opi, Ghanaian forward Samuel Boateng and forward Fahim Nur Toha added one each in the 12th, 53rd, and 90+2nd minutes for Rahamatganj.

After the day’s win, Rahamatganj consolidated the top spot of the five-team Group B with 6 points from two wins while last year’s runners-up Mohammedan were second with 3 points from one win and one defeat.

Rahamatganj earlier beat Mohammedan by 0-1 goal in their group opener at the Bashundhara Kings Arena on 10 December.

Among others, Abahani Ltd Dhaka, who earlier beat Ctg Abahani Ltd by 3-0 goals, were third with 3 points while Fakirerpool YMC and Ctg Abahani were yet to open their accounts.
