Md Shahjahan Mia, currently serving as the additional secretary at the Local Government Division, has been appointed as the administrator of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

A notification was issued by the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives on Thursday in this regard.

Shahjahan Mia will carry out the new duty in addition to his current duties as an additional secretary.

He is an officer of the 15th batch of the Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) cadre.

On Wednesday, Mohammad Azaz, chairman of the non-governmental organisation River and Delta Research Centre, was made the administrator of the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
