CR Abrar sworn in as adviser

Professor CR Abrar has been sworn in as an advisor to the interim government.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered the oath at Bangabhaban around 11 am on Wednesday.

He is expected to take charge as the Education Adviser, Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam made the announcement while briefing the media at the Foreign Service Academy yesterday.

Dr Wahiduddin Mahmud currently holds the position of Education Adviser.

Prof Abrar completed his studies at the University of Dhaka, the University of Sussex, and Griffith University in Australia.

His works have been featured in volumes published by Westview Press, Blackwell, Earthscan, and Macmillan India. He is currently a faculty member in the Department of International Relations at the University of Dhaka.
