Moroccan King Mohammed VI sent a message of congratulations to President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Wednesday on the occasion of Bangladesh Independence Day.

In the message, the King expressed his warmest congratulations to President Shahabuddin, together with best wishes for further progress and prosperity for the people of Bangladesh.

"I should like to take this opportunity to say how much I value the fraternal bonds between our countries. I therefore keenly look forward to continuing to work with Your Excellency [President Shahabuddin] to strengthen our relations and expand our fruitful cooperation, for the mutual benefit of our peoples in the two sister nations," the King wrote in the message.
