The Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Court has ordered the authorities concerned to issue an arrest warrant against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s daughter Saima Wazed Putul through Interpol in a case filed over allegations of corruption in allotting Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha’s land in the Purbachal New Town project.

Judge Md Zakir Hossain passed the order on Sunday following a petition submitted by the Anti-Corruption Commission.

On 10 April, the same court issued arrest warrants against 18 people, including Hasina and Putul in the case.

On 10 March, ACC Assistant Director Afnan Jannat Keya submitted a charge sheet against the 18 accused in the graft case.

According to the case statement, Putul was accused of taking the land allotment through irregularities, while others were accused of assisting her in getting the plot illegally.
