Ahead of Eid, the 14 highest remittance receivers through bKash won Hisense deep freezers and 43-inch Hisense smart TVs in the first week of the ongoing campaign.

The prizes were awarded based on the highest daily remittance received during the campaign’s first week, which will run until 5 June, 2025, according to a press release.

Meanwhile, relatives of expatriates who receive remittances of Tk10,000 or more (excluding the 2.5% government incentive) are being given a guaranteed Tk500 discount coupon, the release added.

The prizes were handed over to the winners by JM Taslim Kabir, group head of marketing at Fair Group, and Mohammad Zahidul Ahasan, head of remittance at bKash, during a ceremony held at the bKash head office in the capital.

Senior officials from both organisations were also present at the event.

Notably, a customer can receive a fridge/TV and a discount coupon only once during the campaign period. All coupons, including those for the daily fridge and TV winners, will be automatically added to the recipients’ bKash accounts.

The coupons can be redeemed when purchasing Hisense fridge-TVs at Fair Electronics Smart Plaza outlets nationwide by making payments via bKash, the statement added.
