The International Crime Tribunal (ICT) on Sunday issued its first arrest warrants against ousted dictator Sheikh Hasina, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and former police chief Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun over last year's massacre.
At the time, ICT also accepted the first charges of crimes against humanity centring the July-August 2024 massacre.
The court proceedings were aired live on BTV for the first time in history.
Earlier, the ICT prosecution team submitted an 8,500-page chargesheet charging her with five counts offences for being complicit in the state-led atrocities against anti-fascist demonstrators last year.
Though, ex-police chief Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun is now in prison, the other two are absconding, presumably in India.
On 12 May, the ICT investigation team submitted its probe report in the case.
