Journalist Kazi Iftekhar Rahman has received the Global Business and CSR Awards-2025. He won the award in the Best Journalist (International News) category.

The award was presented to him at a grand ceremony held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka on 30 May.

The ceremony was organised by the Asian Journalists Human Rights and Cultural Foundation and the Global Media Forum of Bangladesh. Channel i was the media partner of the programme, read a press release.

During the ceremony, awards were given to 38 individuals, including television and print media personalities, for their special contributions to various fields in Bangladesh. They included singer Ankhi Alamgir, actress Runa Khan, Sadia Ayman, model Pia Jannatul, and brand promoter Barisha Haque.

In addition, several distinguished personalities, including singer Ferdous Ara and film actress Rozina, were given lifetime honours for their special contributions to the music and arts.

Journalist Kazi Iftekhar is currently working as a senior newsroom editor at the private television channel NTV.

He started his journalism career with the Kaler Kantho in 2012. After that, he worked for the Daily Vorer Pata, priyo.com, Independent Television, and Somoy Television.

Iftekhar is a member of the Jatiya Press Club, Dhaka Sub Editors Council, and Barisal Divisional Journalists Association. He is also working as a member of the Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB).
