The Hamza is hype is real in Bangladesh football and now the Bhutan head coach Atsushi Nakamura said they are very lucky to play against an English Premier League-level player like Hamza Choudhury.
Bangladesh and Bhutan will face each other in a friendly match on Wednesday ahead of their respective AFC Asian Qualifier matches on 10 June.
“The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has given us the chance to play a friendly match. We are happy to play versus the Bangladesh national team,” Atushi thanked BFF in the pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
“And this time, you may want to ask me about Hamza. We are very lucky to play against a player like Hamza. Hamza is a very good player. Hopefully, boys would get a good experience. I am very excited about tomorrow,” he added.
The Bhutan coach said they had advantage at their home when they last played Bangladesh in September last year. This time, he is ready to face the adversities in Bangladesh, especially the weather and the crowd.
“The last two matches against Bangladesh were at our home. We had advantages about high altitude. Now we have some disadvantages in Bangladesh as this country is very hot and humid. I expect tomorrow to be hot as well, now it is important how we overcome these disadvantages,” he said.
“This Bangladesh friendly match is very important before the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers match against Brunei. Of course we will do our best in this match,” he concluded.
