Indonesian Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Armanatha Christiawan Nasir paid a courtesy visit to Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman at Army Headquarters in the capital on Tuesday.

During the meeting, along with an exchange of greetings, they emphasised strengthening defence cooperation between the two countries and enhancing mutual engagement in military and security sectors in the current context.

The Indonesian vice minister also praised the significant role of Bangladeshi peacekeepers in United Nations peacekeeping operations.
