Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain has assured travellers of a smooth and hassle-free Eid-ul-Azha journey.

During a visit to the Mohakhali Bus Terminal in Dhaka on Friday, the adviser inspected the overall travel situation ahead of Eid and spoke directly with passengers to address concerns about overcharging, delays, and other inconveniences.

His statements and updates from the visit were shared on his verified Facebook page.

Responding to complaints on the spot, Adviser Asif refunded the excess fare that had been collected from several passengers.

He emphasised that strict action would be taken against any bus operator found guilty of harassment or fare manipulation, going against government regulations.

"We are committed to ensuring a comfortable and fair journey for all Eid travellers. No passenger should face harassment or be charged more than the fixed fare," he said during the visit.
