The government on Monday issued a gazette declaring all the operations carried out under the National Board of Revenue (NBR) as essential services.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment issued the gazette.

As per the gazette, to preserve national interests, the government has declared “essential” all the services provided at all the tariff stations, bond commissionerates, internal container depots, customs houses under the NBR.

The government has done so to meet the revenue collection target, and the keep the public financial management operations consistent.
