City Bank holds BAMLCO Conference 2025

City Bank has organised its Branch Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officers (BAMLCO) Conference 2025 at a local hotel in Dhaka with the theme “Strengthening AML Practices for a Safer Financial Future” recently.

The event brought together over 200 BAMLCOs of the bank from across the country, representing all 64 districts where City Bank has a branch presence, read a press release.

AFM Shahinul Islam, head of the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), was the chief guest at the conference. 

Mashrur Arefin, managing director and CEO of City Bank, was also present along with other guests, including Mahia Juned, AMD, COO and CAMLCO, Kazi Azizur Rahman, AMD and chief information officer, and other senior officers of the bank.

During the insightful sessions, BFIU Additional Director Ruman Ahamed and Deputy Director Sudipta Ghosh addressed the BAMLCO on the importance of following AML/CFT guidelines and shared with them several techniques to prevent financial crime as well.
