Ambassador of Bangladesh to the United Mexican States M Mushfiqul Fazal (Ansarey) extended birthday greetings to former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.

“Happy birthday to Dr. Mahathir Mohamad — you are a living legend, a witness and creator of a century of history. Respect for your leadership, wisdom and foresight,” he said in postbook post.

Remembering his memory with Mahathir Mohamad, Mushfiq further wrote “More than two decades ago, I had the privilege of welcoming you to the Prime Minister's Office of Bangladesh — that memory remains a unique inspiration. My best wishes for your health, peace, and a bright life.”

Mahathir Mohamad marked a historic milestone as he turned 100 on 10 July. Dr Mahathir was born on 10 July 1925 and is Malaysia's fourth and seventh prime minister.
