Rani Mukerji has won her first National Film Award for her film “Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway”.

On Friday evening, following the announcement of the 71st National Film Awards, the acclaimed actress shared her heartfelt reaction from Mumbai.

Visibly emotional and elated, Mukerji expressed her deep gratitude at receiving her very first National Award in a career spanning three decades.

Speaking to the press, she said, “Receiving a National Award today, after 30 long years as an actress, feels nothing short of a blessing. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all the esteemed members of the National Film Awards jury for recognising and honouring my work.”

She further added, “I wish to share this award with the producer, director, and entire cast and crew of ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway’. It has been a deeply meaningful film for me, and I feel privileged that it has resonated so strongly.”

Mukerji dedicated her award to mothers around the globe, saying, “This honour, which comes to me for ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway’, I dedicate to all the extraordinary mothers of the world.”

In conclusion, she expressed deep appreciation for her loyal fans: “I am immensely thankful to my fans, who have been my constant source of encouragement and inspiration throughout these 30 years. It is their unwavering support that has always breathed life into my performances.”
