The government has already achieved one of its key goals in eliminating syndicates in the country’s market management system and is now working to eradicate corruption from all strata of the government.

Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin said this while talking to reporters at the secretariat in Dhaka on Thursday.

“Our efforts have already led to success in dealing with the market syndicate, while the next goal to build a corruption-free country must be achieved before the next general election,” he said.

Citing the government’s several achievements, including the tariff fight with the US and enlarging the foreign reserve, he said the government will generate job opportunities for unemployed youth immediately.
