The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will be held at two additional venues outside Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet in the next edition of the tournament.

Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain made the announcement on his verified Facebook page on Sunday evening.

“In the last ten editions, the BPL has only been held in Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet. For the upcoming season, there are plans to expand to two more venues. Accordingly, Rajshahi Stadium in the north, as well as Barishal and Khulna Stadiums in the south, are being prepared,” he said.

The 2024-25 edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) was organised in three venues. Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka, Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram and the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

BPL was only once played outside these three venues. In 2013, BPL was organised in Chattogram District Stadium (former M A Aziz Stadium) and Khulna Divisional Stadium (then Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium).
