Bashundhara Shuvosangho stands by orphan student in Monirampur

Members of the Monirampur upazila branch of Bashundhara Shuvosangho have extended financial assistance to Ishrat Jahan Mukti, a student of the Business Studies department at Government Monirampur College, who is also an orphan.
The aid was handed over to Mukti on the college campus by Professor GM Robiul Islam Faruqi, the principal of the college, on Wednesday.
Principal Robiul Islam said, “Mukti lost her father in childhood and now has no mother either. Poverty had almost forced her to discontinue her studies. Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s timely support will help her move forward and continue her education. I commend this humanitarian effort.”
Among others present at the programme were the college’s Vice-Principal Samir Halder, Professors Mostafizur Rahman and Enamul Kabir Kajol, along with Monirampur upazila Shuvosangho President SM Hafizur Rahman, Vice-President Dr Habibur Rahman, General Secretary Abdur Rahman Akash, Joint Secretary Probir Sarkar, and members Mehedi Hasan, Nazim Shubho, Fahim Faisal, Amit Saha, Tanzim Ahmed, and Ishtiaq Ahmed.
Monirampur upazila Shuvosangho President SM Hafizur Rahman said, “Bashundhara Group has always worked for the welfare of society’s underprivileged. We are trying to support talented students who wish to continue their education. We will ensure that this student can complete her studies successfully.”
