Shuvosangho conducts tree plantation campaign in Fulbaria

Bashundhara Shuvosangho has organised a tree plantation campaign at Fulbaria of Mymensingh, where saplings of Bakul, Krishnachura, Amra and Olive trees were planted to promote environmental protection in and around the area.
The campaign was launched through a programme held at Fulbaria Government Women’s College on Thursday. Bashundhara Shuvosangho Fulbari upazila unit president, Nirmal Chandra Biswas was present on the occasion.
Approximately fifty students were given saplings of mango, blackberry, jackfruit, haritaki and neem to plant in the area.
Among others, Firuz Kabir and Shahidul Islam, organisational secretaries of the voluntary platform, Selim Mia and A Sani, its publicity affairs secretary, many teachers and students, among others, were also present at the programme.
After distributing saplings, Shuvosangho activists planted fruit and forest trees at the central crematorium in Fulbaria.
Previously, Shuvosangho planted various trees in different parts of Fulbaria, Nirmal said, adding that they planted trees at Fulbaria Government Women’s College and the crematorium as a continuation of the initiative.
On the occasion, Firoz said Bashundhara Shuvosangho always stands by those in need.
Providing educational assistance to meritorious students, as well as distributing food items, has been part of the daily activities of Bashundhara Shuvosangho and it remains committed to standing beside the people in need, he said.
