A director general (DG)-level conference between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) is set to commence today in Dhaka.

According to a press release, a nine-member Indian delegation led by BSF Director General (DG) Daljit Singh Chaudhary has arrived in Dhaka to attend the 56th border conference.

The Indian delegation includes senior BSF officials as well as officials from the ministries of Indian Home and External Affairs.

BGB Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui welcomed the Indian delegation when they arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Monday afternoon.

The four-day DG-level conference, which will conclude on 28 August, will be hosted at the BGB Headquarters in Pilkhana, Dhaka.
