The first day of the 56th BGB-BSF border conference was held at Pilkhana in the capital on Tuesday.

A 21-member delegation led by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui attended the conference, BGB public relations officer Shariful Islam told Daily Sun.

Alongside BGB officers, the team included representatives from the Chief Adviser’s Office, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Shipping, Roads and Highways Department, Directorate of Land Records and Survey, Joint Rivers Commission, and Department of Narcotics Control.

On the Indian side, the 11-member delegation was led by Border Security Force (BSF) Director General Shri Daljit Singh Chawdhary.

The conference is scheduled to conclude on 28 August.
