The Election Commission (EC) is holding the final round of hearings today on objections and claims related to constituency boundary redemarcation across five regions.

The commission will reveal the final list of redemarcation after the hearings that began at 10am at the EC auditorium of Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon.

According to EC sources, hearings from 1am to 12pm covered constituencies Panchagarh-1, Panchagarh-2, Rangpur-1, Kurigram-4, Sirajganj-2, Sirajganj-5, Sirajganj-6, and Pabna-1. From 2:30pm to 5pm, hearings will continue for Tangail-6, Jamalpur-2, Kishoreganj-1, Sylhet-1, Faridpur-1, Faridpur-4, Madaripur-2, Madaripur-3, Shariatpur-2, and Shariatpur-3.

Following the hearings, EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed is expected to brief the media in a formal press conference.

The EC said a total of 1,760 objections and claims were submitted for 83 constituencies by the 10 August deadline.
