A three-day housing fair began on Thursday at Uttara Club in the capital with the slogan “Housing for All".
Organised by Deepwork Communication and Events, the fair is showcasing housing facilities for city dwellers. Daily Sun is the media partner of the event.
The fair will run for three days, ending on Saturday. On the first day, it was open from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, while on Friday and Saturday, it will run from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Renowned actor and freedom fighter Tariq Anam Khan inaugurated the event. Uttara Club President Mohammad Faisal Taher and other distinguished guests were also present.
Many renowned developers and land companies are participating in the fair, offering discounts on plots, flats, and resort projects.
Visitors can also join online through the event’s website. Free legal advice and architectural consultancy are being offered to all visitors.
Tariq Anam Khan said, “Such events will help the housing sector during this tough time.”
He added that housing is a basic right and urged developers to plan projects for middle- and lower-middle-income people.
Deepwork’s Chief Operating Officer Sumaiya Tabassum said the housing sector is going through a crisis, and this fair aims to connect developers and land companies with buyers and financial institutions.
Organisers said visitors can win a Dhaka-Nepal air ticket by scanning a QR code at the fair. Booking a flat or plot will also provide a chance to win trips to Malaysia and Bangkok.
