Bangladesh skipper Litton Das opted to bat first after winning the toss against Afghanistan in their must-win Asia Cup clash at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Tuesday.
The Tigers, desperate to keep their campaign alive, made four changes to their XI.
Taskin Ahmed returned to the side while Saif Hassan, Nasum Ahmed and Nurul Hasan Sohan made it to the playing XI. Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Shoriful Islam, Parvez Hossain Emon and Mahedi Hasan are out of the playing XI.
“The wicket looks a bit on the slower side, 160 would be a good total,” Litton said at the toss.
“All boys are excited for this game, this is a must-win. The mood in the camp is good. We can’t think too much about the previous game.”
Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan admitted he too would have preferred to bat first but backed his bowling-heavy side to deliver.
“Our strength is our bowling unit, especially spin. We still need to bowl well as a unit and hit the right areas. The body feels great, looking forward to enjoy,” Rashid said.
Afghanistan went unchanged from their win over Hong Kong.
