During the September FIFA window, Bangladesh played one friendly in Nepal that ended goalless, while a second fixture was canceled due to political unrest. With no results to sway the table, both nations stayed put, though Bangladesh’s points tally inched up from 899.01 to 899.24.

The next FIFA rankings will be released on 23 October , following the international break. Bangladesh will have a chance to climb when they take on Hong Kong in two crucial Asian Cup qualifiers on 9 and 14 October.

On the global stage, Spain reclaimed the No. 1 spot, pushing Argentina down to third, while France rose to second.
