Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Md Mokhlesur Rahman, has been withdrawn from his post.

He has been transferred to the Planning Commission as a member, according to a notification issued by the ministry on Sunday.

The order, signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Rafiqul Haque, has been issued in the public interest and will take immediate effect, the ministry said.

Mokhlesur Rahman, an officer of the 1982 batch of the BCS Administration cadre, was appointed secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration in August 2024, following the fall of the fascist government during the July mass uprising.

Mokhlesur was appointed for two years on a contractual basis, but he was removed just 13 months into his tenure.
