Bangladesh shines at Tokyo Karate Championship with silver medal

The Bangladesh Shotokan Karate-Do Association (Kyoukai) achieved remarkable success at the 17th WSKF World Championship 2025 held in Tokyo, Japan.

The athletes represented Bangladesh with discipline, skill, and dedication, bringing honor to the nation on the global stage.

In the Dan examination, Bangladeshi participants demonstrated outstanding ability. Md. Jubayer earned his 2nd Dan Black Belt, Joshshobi Chakma achieved 3rd Dan, while Rupu Ahmed and Choton Chakma earned 4th Dan Black Belts.

In the championship events, Md. Jubayer competed in the 75+ kg Kumite category and won the Silver Medal. His excellent technique, determination, and strength elevated Bangladesh’s reputation in international sports.

The team was led by Moinul Hossain as the team leader. The participation was sponsored by SMS Trade International, with the company’s owner Mohammad Meraz Hossain serving as the sponsor representative.
