Khulna Division reached the final by defeating Chittagong Division by 4 wickets in the first qualifier match in Sylhet. Chittagong also lost in the second qualifier yesterday. Rangpur Division reached the final of the tournament by defeating the Chattala team by 4 wickets. Rangpur will face Khulna Division in the tournament final on October 12.

After losing the toss at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Chattogram lost their first wicket for 17 runs. Mominul Haque was out for 11 runs. Another opener, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, was set for 28 runs off 27 balls. Shahadat Hossain, who came in at number four, could not score more than 7 runs. As a result, Chittagong lost 3 wickets for 79 runs in the 12th over.

Then Sadiqur Rahman and captain Yasir Ali dominated Rangpur's bowlers. Sadiqur and Yasir added an unbroken 88 runs in the last 51 balls to take Chittagong to 167 for 3 in 20 overs. Yasir scored an unbeaten 53 runs in 27 balls with a fierce batting performance. His innings included 5 fours and 2 sixes. Sadiqur played an impeccable innings of 58 runs in 48 balls with 3 fours and 1 six. Enamul and Alauddin Babu took 1 wicket each.

Rangpur chased a target of 168 runs and started their innings strongly with an unbroken partnership of 76 runs. They lost their first wicket when opener Zahid Javed was dismissed for 35 runs. However, the other opener, Nasir Hossain, went on to score a remarkable half-century, finishing with 118 runs for the team. He made his runs off 54 balls, hitting 4 fours and 3 sixes.

Captain Akbar Ali scored a valuable 40 runs off 21 balls, featuring 1 four and 3 sixes, leading Rangpur to victory. They won with a boundary off the last ball. Hasan Murad and Mominul from Chittagong each took two wickets, and Nasir was named man of the match.

The first National Cricket League (NCL) T20 tournament was held last year in Sylhet and received much attention. The second edition will start on September 14 this year. After delays due to rain, the tournament has resumed with a revised schedule, and the final match is upcoming.
