HSIA fire extinguished after 27hrs

A fire that broke out at the Cargo Village in the capital’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday noon (18 Oct) has been extinguished.
The fire was doused fully around 4:55pm on Sunday after a 27-hour effort by 37 firefighting units.
Earlier around 2:15pm on Saturday, a massive fire engulfed the Cargo Village of HSIA.
Members of Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the spot immediately, who were later joined by firefighting units from the army, the navy and the air force.
Two platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were also deployed in the area to control the situation, according to reports.
