The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will convene its fifth executive committee meeting on Sunday, marking the first anniversary of the Tabith Awal-led administration that took office following the federation’s elections on 26 October 2024.

The session, expected to run for nearly four hours, will feature several important agenda items, with key focus on the financial accounts from Bangladesh’s Asian Cup qualifying fixtures against Singapore and Hong Kong, China. The accounts of the Singapore match—played in Dhaka on 10 June — were presented previously but withheld from approval due to technical errors.

A substantial part of the meeting is likely to be dedicated to discussions surrounding proposed amendments to the BFF constitution. The federation’s special constitutional reform committee has already submitted a draft, now awaiting executive review before further processing.

The long-pending National U-15 Football Championship will also come under scrutiny. Despite launching earlier this year, the tournament’s final round is yet to begin after nine months of delay. Originally slated to take place in Noakhali—granting the host team an automatic slot in the finals—the plan has since shifted to Kamalapur Turf in Dhaka. The venue change requires by-law adjustments, which the committee is expected to address.

The meeting may additionally touch upon the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) elections scheduled for 29 November. Member organisations must confirm their councilors by 27 October, and while the matter is not on the official agenda, it could be raised during general discussions. The BFF previously missed representation at the BOA AGM due to late submission of names—an oversight the federation will be eager to avoid this time.

Although most standing and ad hoc committees were assigned one-year terms at the first meeting of the new administration on 9 November 2024, no agenda item related to term extension or restructuring has been listed for Sunday’s discussions.
