Bangladeshi ambassador Najmul Huda presents credentials to Algerian President

Ambassador of Bangladesh to Algeria Md Najmul Huda presented his Credentials to the President of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, at the Presidential Palace in Algiers on Tuesday.
A red carpet was laid on the occasion, while a smart contingent of the Presidential Guards presented the Guard of Honour to the newly appointed Bangladesh Envoy to the country. President Tebboune was accompanied by Ahmed Attaf, foreign ninister of Algeria and Boualem Boualem, chief of the President’s Cabinet, on the occasion.
Following the presentation of the Credentials, Ambassador Huda was accorded the opportunity for a brief meeting with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune during which they exchanged views on the state of the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Algeria and on issues of mutual interests.
Expressing his happiness at the excellent brotherly relations between the two countries, President Tebboune stressed the importance of further strengthening and widening it through meaningful and mutually beneficial economic initiatives.
He put particular emphasis on exploring the investment potentials for adding greater vitality to the economic relations. He invited more Bangladeshi investments in Algeria. The Algerian leader conveyed his warmest greetings and best wishes to his Bangladeshi counterpart and to the Government and people of Bangladesh.
In his remarks, Ambassador Md Najmul Huda thanked the Algerian President and conveyed the best regards and warmest greetings of the President, Government and People of Bangladesh and solicited his support and patronisation for successfully pursuing his mission in Algeria during his tour of duty.
He shared with the Algerian leader of the high importance Bangladesh attached to its relations with Algeria and assured him of making best efforts for adding more economic substance through greater engagements in trade, commerce and investment.
Ambassador Huda observed that there was growing interests on both sides, particularly among private sectors, which needed to be harnessed for reaping mutual benefits.
Ambassador Huda availed of the opportunity to draw the attention of the Algerian leader to the protracted Rohingya problem and requested his personal leadership and a more pro-active role for bringing a sustainable and earliest possible solution to the problem.
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune warmly welcomed the Bangladesh Ambassador and assured him of all possible support and assistance for a smooth functioning of his Mission in Algiers.
