A Dhaka court on Monday fixed April 6 for passing its verdict in a non prosecution case filed against Canadian university student Tahmid Hasib Khan, who is one of the survivors of the terrorist attack in Gulshan Holey Artisan Bakery in July 1, last year.

The non prosecution case was filed on September 28, last year, under section 176 of penal code against Tahmid as he did not help investigation officer of Gulshan café attack case by giving information over the incident.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahmudul Hasan set the date of verdict after concluding the argument hearing of both prosecution and defence in the case.

On August 3, Tahmid, also a Bangladeshi origin permanent resident of Canada, was arrested on suspicion of having links with the Gulshan cafe attackers under Section 54 of the CrPC.

But, on October 5, a Dhaka court cleared Tahmid from the charges as police did not found his involvement with the incident.
