The admission test at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) for foreign candidates will be held on May 21.
Documents available reveal that the candidates having at least 75 percent aggregate marks in the class-XII (or equivalent) board examination will be able to submit application through JEE (Advance) website between April 28 and May 2. Aspirants will also be able to apply on May 3 and 4 with late fee.
The candidates, who are not citizens of India (by birth or naturalized), do not belong to OCI category and the students, whose parents are not citizens of India and do not come under OCI category at the time of registering for JEE (Adv) 2017, will be treated as foreign nationals.
Application fee for candidates of SAARC countries has been fixed at Tk USD 135 and non-SAARC countries at USD 270. Foreign centres of IITs are situated at Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Dubai (UAE), Kathmandu (Nepal) and Singapore.
Admission to various undergraduate programmes in IITs in India will be based on an admission test known as Joint Entrance Examination (Advance), JEE (Adv) 2017.
