An orientation meeting on ‘Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Red River Planning District (RRPD)’ was held at Thana Education Office under Motijheel thana in the capital recently.
Disabled Child Foundation (DCF) with the support of Australian Government organised the meeting with stakeholders under its project titled ‘To ensure inclusive and quality education for students with disabilities through advocacy and capacity building programs’, says a press release.
Founder and Executive Director of DCF Nasrin Jahan welcomed all the participants and briefly described the objectives of the meeting while President of DCF and Captain of Bangladesh blind cricket team Md Hafizur Rahman Bullet presided over the programme.
Motijheel Thana Education Officer Khurshid Ara was present at the meeting as the chief guest where Assistant Training Officer of URC, Motijheel Sadeka Sultana, Assistant Thana Education officer, Motijheel thana Shanaz Parvin and Marufa Zabin were present as the special guests. A total of 23 head teachers along with members of school management committees of government primary schools under Motijheel thana took part in the meeting as the guests.
Lipi Rahman, Programme Coordinator, conducted the orientation meeting.
