Awami League (AL) publicity and publication secretary Hasan Mahmud on Friday said that BNP will not benefit from imitating the vision of AL.

“Copying pre-announced vision of Awami League is a misdeed of BNP. Such imitation proves that BNP has become bankrupt intellectually,” he said.

Hasan, also a former minister, came up with the remarks while addressing a discussion organised by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote at National Press Club in the capital.

He claimed that the ruling AL has announced the vision, with a motto to establish digital Bangladesh and change fortune of people, eight years ago.

“The government, in the meantime, has implemented many of the contents of the vision-2030 announced by BNP,” he said.

He said that people are getting benefits of the vision announced by AL while per capita income of people has increased.

Hasan slammed BNP as the party is not doing anything for flood-affected people in haor areas.

“They have not distributed relief among haor people. Their activities are limited only to giving statement from Dhaka,” he added.
