ACC staff found dead in Sylhet

Sylhet: A staff of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) was found dead at Barbari barrack in the city on Sunday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Layej Uddin, 53, a constable of the ACC and hailing from Kapasia upazila of Gazipur district. His wife, only son and two daughters live in Gazipur.

Gousul Alam, officer-in-charge of Sylhet Kotwali police station, said police recovered the hanging body of Layej from his room in the morning and sent it to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

He might have committed suicide, said the OC.
