Deal to provide eye care to poor

Advocate M Shamsul Huq, general secretary of PMECS, and ANM Emam Hasanath, executive director of MSS, exchange documents after signing an agreement at Wahida & Matin Memorial and CSF Eye Hospital in the capital on Saturday.

The Eye Care Project of Manabik Sahajya Sangstha (ECP-MSS) and Professor Matin Eye Care System (PMECS) signed a collaborative memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide comprehensive eye care services, including surgeries, to the underserved people of the country.


As per the deal, Both the organisations will work together to eliminate preventable blindness, raise eye care awareness and make eye care accessible to the underserved people including those in remote areas, says a press release.


Advocate M Shamsul Huq, general secretary of PMECS, and ANM Emam Hasanath, executive director of MSS, signed the deal on behalf of their respective sides.


MSS president Feroz M Hassan and MSS adviser Tarikul Ghani, PMECS leaders Prof M A Muqueet, vice-president, Md Majed Hossain, joint secretary, Isa MdMainuddin, secretary, Md Johurul Islam Jewel, senior program manager and eye consultant Sadeque Ahmed, among others, were also present on the occasion.
