BNP Chairperson’s adviser Zainul Abdin Farroque on Wednesday said the party wants to stick by the government on Rohingya issue.
“Though we have fallen victim to forced disappearance and murder, BNP will extend support to the government if it saves helpless Rohingyas,” he said.
The former chief whip of BNP came up with the statement at a token demonstration in front of the National Press Club in the capital. Bangladesh National Awami Party organised the event.
Zainul Abdin said if necessary, peacekeeping force under the supervision of the United Nations should be sent to Rakhine state of Myanmar.
He demanded the government force the Myanmar government through making diplomatic effort to take back Rohingya refugees.
