Indian aid for Rohingyas reaches Ctg today

An aircraft carrying the first consignment of Indian humanitarian assistance for Rohingya refugees reaches Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong today.

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla will hand over the consignment to Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader at the airport.

Talking to daily sun, Ranjan Mondal, attaché of Press, Information and Culture of Indian High Commission in Dhaka, said the aircraft of Indian Air forces will carry rice, lentil, magi noodles, tea, biscuits and other humanitarian assistance for Rohingya people.

“More consignments of humanitarian assistance will arrive in the days to come,” he added.
