Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is scheduled to arrive in the city on Sunday on a one-day brief visit.
He will witness the plight of Rohingya people in Cox’s Bazar for himself, said a foreign ministry official.
Hamidi is slated to leave for Cox’s Bazar immediately after reaching Dhaka.
After returning from Cox’s Bazar to Dhaka, the Malaysian leader will also meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali.
During the meetings, Hamidi will discuss Rohingya crisis alongside other bilateral issues.
Hamidi is scheduled to depart the capital on Sunday night.
