A total of five taskforces were formed on Monday to develop country’s technical education sector.
The taskforces were formed in a meeting on “Development of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)” at the conference room of the education ministry.
The taskforces are Policy and Project Formulation Taskforce, Industry and Institute Linkage Taskforce, TVET Enrollment Taskforce, Curriculum Development Taskforce, and Job Market Assessment and Employment Taskforce.
Addressing the meeting, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid called upon all to come forward to promote technical and vocational education, and to bring qualitative development of the sector.
He also emphasised on taking proper plan for the sake of development of technical education sector.
A press release of the ministry said the taskforces will take advice of experts and government and non-government partners for taking future plan, and will prepare recommendation on respective sector.
The meeting asked the taskforces to submit recommendations within November 30.
