The 13th National Red Crescent Youth Camp- 2017 will begin at Mouchak in Gazipur today with the theme “Youth Leadership-towards an Enlightened World”.


Bangladesh Red Crescent Society has organised the four-day camp, says a press release.


President Md Abdul Hamid is expected to inaugurate the event at Osmani Memorial Hall Auditorium in the capital.


Mohammed Nasim, MP, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, and Prof Dr Md Habibe Millat, MP, Vice-Chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and Member, IFRC Governing Board, will be present at the inaugural ceremony as the special guests while Hafiz Ahmed Mazumdar, Chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, will preside over the programme.


Meher Afroze Chumki, State Minister for Woman and Children Affairs, will be present at the closing ceremony of the event as the chief guest on Thursday.


Zahid Ahsan Russell, lawmaker of Gazipur-2 constituency and chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Youth and Sports Ministry, Prof Dr Md Habibe Millat, MP, and Advocate Tauhidur Rahman, treasurer, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, will be present there as the special guests. Hafiz Ahmed Mazumdar will chair the closing ceremony.
