Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq on Tuesday sought an apology in the parliament admitting his fault for not correcting the question of a lawmaker over the Liberation War.

Treasury bench member Abdul Majid Khan (Habiganj-2), in his question, mentioned that the country’s Independence War was formally announced at a meeting of many ‘sena nayak’ and public representatives presided over by Colonel Osmani at Telia Para tea garden in Habigang on April 4, 1971.

The lawmaker in the question asked the minister to know whether any arrangement was taken to preserve the place. The question was placed in parliament on Tuesday.

While responding to the question, the minister, somehow, overlooked the matter.

The minister requested Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury to expunge the statement of the lawmaker Abdul Mazid with correction.
