New generation urged to engage in creative work

A three-day conference on renewable energy and exhibition of renewable technology began on Tuesday at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury senate auditorium on Dhaka University (DU) campus. 

DU Power Institute and Bangladesh Solar Power Association is organising the event titled “Sustainable energy management”. 

Prime Minister’s energy affairs adviser Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury was present as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony. DU VC Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman and Director of Energy Institute and President of Bangladesh Solar Power Association Prof Dr Saiful Haque also attended the event.

Speaking at the event, Tawfiq-e-Elahi said the new generation will have to work in a creative way to implement the plan of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to turn Bangladesh a developed country.
