A delegation from Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) meet with Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Iqbal Mahmood on Tuesday.
The Hong Kong based organisation ICAC executive director Francis SHAM and Research project manager Jashua Hai held a discussion with ACC chairman at the commission’s head office in the capital.
The ICAC delegation team discussed with the anti graft watchdog chairman about various issues including corruption prevention in the country.
Expressing interest to work together with ACC, Francis SHAM said they want to help in various fields including exchange information, training and experience to prevent the corruption.
He also requested ACC chairman to visit ICAC in Hong Kong.
Iqbal Mahmood said “The ACC is working neutrally to prevent corruption in the country. The commission achieved some progress for its continuous efforts but we are not fully satisfied.”
He said the corrupt people are changing the nature, technique and types of corruption one after another.So the skills and capabilities of the ACC officials will be increased.
ACC chief also sought cooperation from the ICAC for the training of the ACC officials.
