Bangladesh’s ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan touched yet another milestone as he became the third cricketer in the history to amass 10000 runs and 500 wickets in international cricket. He made the record during Bangladesh’s third T20i against Afghanistan at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun of India on Thursday.
Legendary all-rounders Jacques Kallis and Shahid Afridi are the only cricketers who reached the 10000-run and 500-wicket club before Shakib. Nonetheless, Shakib is the fastest to breach the record as he took just 302 international matches to do so. Along with the 500 wickets, the ace all-rounder has a brilliant record of 10102 runs.
