Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader on Wednesday said Bangladesh will be turned into a land of terrorism, if BNP comes to power even for a day. “Bangladesh will be turned into a land of terrorism, if BNP comes to power even for a day,” he said.
Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, was addressing during inauguration of a two-day workshop on ‘Advancing Women’s Leadership in Politics’ at a city hotel.Centre for Research and Information (CRI), Awami League’s research cell, and Democratic International (DI), a US-based research organisation, jointly organised the workshop.
A total of 120 female leaders of Awami League and its associate organisations took part in the workshop. Referring to BNP’s statement, Quader said that it would be proved in October after announcement of polls schedule whether BNP would take part in election or not without its chairperson Khaleda Zia.
“Bangladesh Nationalist Party does not practice what it preaches. Polls schedule will be announced in October when it will be proved whether the party will take part in polls or not without its chairperson,” he said.
