General MAG Osmani’s 42nd death anniversary observed

The 42nd death anniversary of Muhammad Ataul Gani Osmani, commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces during the Liberation War, was observed with due respect and military honours by the Bangladesh Army on Monday.
General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 17 Infantry Division and Sylhet Area Commander, Major General Md Alimul Amin, paid tribute by placing a floral wreath at General Osmani’s grave.
A military guard of honour was presented, and the ceremony concluded with prayers for the departed soul and for the peace and prosperity of the country.
Senior army officers, personnel of various ranks, local community leaders and media representatives attended the programme.
