Final decision yet to be taken on changing police uniforms: Home minister

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has said that no final decision has yet been taken regarding a change in police uniforms, adding that the matter will be announced once a decision is reached.

He made the remarks on Thursday while responding to a question from reporters at the Secretariat.

The statement comes after the Bangladesh Police Service Association formally requested a change in the police uniform.

When asked whether the Ministry of Home Affairs would proceed with the proposed change, the minister reiterated that no final decision has been made so far.

“Once a decision is taken, it will be informed,” he said.
